Custom Programming for Your Special Applications

Our Web Design Services include many types of programming. However, you may have needs for specific programming functionality related to your own website, or a stand-alone application. Jon Holmquist is an independent programmer with years of experience with many types of application domains. He prefers to use "open source" solutions that don't obligate you to pay large application licensing fees.

Web Programming: Web programming is done from scratch in a standard, easy to read, combination of PHP and HTML. No "front-ends" are used that can clutter the code and make it harder to edit and upgrade. Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are used to keep the code and functionality, clean and easy to maintain.
JavaScript: Using JavaScript adds another level of functionality to what otherwise is a static web page.
AJAX: Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) is a relatively new web development technique for creating interactive web applications. We use this technology in much of our work and we're even able to provide custom AJAX-driven data entry programs for developers.
PHP Scripting: If you have your own web server, we can provide you with PHP Scripting that allows you to do extraordinary things, from tracking and analyzing your visiting traffic, to accessing a database that can make your site dynamic and sophisticated.
PDF Generation: Dynamic PDF (Adobe's portable document format) file generation can be used to create forms, invoices and many other uses that enable more complex requirements like eCommerce.
Application Programming: Custom application programming is available for a simple utility or a complete project. We use C++ and provide you with an executable (.exe) file for your platform.
Shopping Cart Module: We have developed an AJAX-driven suite of programs that provide comprehensive Shopping Cart functionality for use by developers in their own projects.
Database: A database, such as the open source MySql, is easy to setup and use. It allows you to take your site to a new level, including eCommerce. You can keep track of how users are accessing your site, track logins, capture order information and much more.
Search Engine: With a database, we can also provide you with a search engine for your own website. Supporting tools include a "parser" to read your content and an "indexer" to automatically convert it into database files that the search engine can read.

Pricing

Pricing for our programming services is simple - its a set fee of $70/hr. You are only charged for custom work done on your project. If certain requirements of your project can be met with pre-existing solutions, the benefit is yours.
